Report: Google Won't Bid For Twitter, and Apple Unlikely

According to a report in Recode, Google is not currently going to bid in the twitter sale. The report goes on to indicate that Apple and Disney are not likely to participate in the process. That could, of course, change.

That appears to leave Saleforce.

Twitter's stock fell 9% on the news.

It's wanting to get into entertainment, which is why it's doing deals with various entertainment businesses.
Yes, news is one of the main features of twitter, along with speed of communication. Perhaps there is someone there in the "others" yet to be disclosed.
