What a real busy page, and so different from the plain-ish old profile page.

What’s new about the new you? The new web profile lets you use a larger profile photo, customize your header, show off your best Tweets and more. Here are main features:

Best Tweets: Tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.
Pinned Tweet: Pin one of your Tweets to the top of your page, so it’s easy for your followers to see what you’re all about.
Filtered Tweets: Now you can choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from these options: Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.

Coming soon to everyone
This new profile setup is available today to a small group of users. If you’re new to Twitter, you’ll start in with the new profile. In the coming weeks, we will roll out the new features to everyone.Twitter Introduces New Profile Page Setup To Roll Out Soon [blog.twitter.com]

So basically, they're trying to make it look like Facebook.

Twitter needs a better categorization of tweets, not a more Facebook-like design. Not sure this is going to generate more signups on Twitter, but let's see what happens.

Twitter needs to allow people who have names longer than average, the freedom to enter in their complete name. There are requests from five years ago floating around the web and nothing's been done yet. How complicated can this be to get done?

And sort out "suspended" accounts so you can apply for ones that have been suspended for 4 years plus..

How long do you think it will be before they dump the character limit?

They need to provide the ability to filter out all tweets relating to certain hashtags, or selected words and phrases.
