I am currently looking in the possibility to use twitter for a specific project as a way to reach a potentially large audience. The tweets will be about a broad range of topics and not everyone will be interested to receive all tweets.
Twitter offers the option to create lists in which you can group specific users in order to group incoming tweets about specific subjects in their own list. Lists can be followed by interested other members. Such a grouping for outgoing tweets would be ideal for my project, but twitter doesn't seem to have an option to organize outgoing tweets the way it allows to organize incoming tweets. The only solution I have found so far is to create a twitter account for every single topic. But in this specific case that would mean the creation of several hundred twitter accounts.
Is there a more elegant way for structuring the outgoing tweet stream?
