SEM Strategies for 2010

I've read some amazing ideas from webmaster experts on various online marketing (paid traffic, leads, actions, etc.) techniques in the past few months. So my question is:

Aside from PPC & Affiliate Networks, what would be your strongest SEM strategy for 2010?

I am concentrating on acquiring analytics and business intelligence know-how.

I'm tired of driving around with a blindfold on the Internet. By analogy, I wouldn't start driving around in my car with a blindfold, so now I'm wondering how come I have been doing this on the web these last couple of years...

Just my 2 cents though.
