I know that a lot of {service}{town} domains have been snapped up, but recently I have seen a couple of domains suddenly appearing at the top of the SERPs using {service}{town}1.tld (i.e. adding the number 1 to the domain)

Anyone else seeing this? Is this the latest trend in getting keywords in your domain?
