I have just finished drafting an SEO proposal to be carried out for a brand new site. It consists of the following tasks to be executed:
Onpage Optimization:
1. Keyword Research
2. Meta Tags Creation
3. Content Optimization
4. Website Structure Analysis
5. Website Design Analysis
6. Website Coding Analysis
7. URL Structure Analysis
8. Competition Analysis
9. Content Creation: 5 Articles having a word length of 500+ words as a part of the SEO package.
10. Blogging
Offpage Optimization:
1. Free Business Listing with sites such as HotFrog etc.
2. Quality Directory Submission to Dmoz and niche specific directories
3. Article/Guide Writing for submission to work.com (picked from [webmasterworld.com ])
4. Press Release writing and submission to Google News approved sites
5. Squidoo Lense: Creating content/information rich lense over squidoo.
6. Hubpage Lense: Creating content/information rich lense over hubpage.
7. Answer Sites: Participating on answer sites and giving useful relevant information. 100 answers as a part of the package.
8. Wiki Sites: Contributing Content to Wiki sites
9. Forum Posting: Participating in Niche specific forums posting informative content and follow-ups. 100 posts as a part of the package.
10. Social Bookmarking
11. Inviting Bloggers in effort to get a Site or Product Review
12. Posting Free Classifieds such as Craiglist etc.
13. Google Products: Submiting products information to and trying to get listed in Google Products.
14. Finally Tracking and Reporting

10. Social Bookmarking – Need much more info here…
11. Inviting Bloggers in effort to get a Site or Product Review - how, where and how many?
12. Posting Free Classifieds such as Craiglist etc. – Free classifieds will just get deleted – do you have an example? Also expand on etc…
13. Google Products: Submiting products information to and trying to get listed in Google Products. – So you’ll create a DB, or use an existing db, or one off submissions?
14. Finally Tracking and Reporting – What sort of tracking and reporting?
What do you mean by Structure, Design, Coding? That covers a huge area, but without saying what the goal is, it could mean almost anything, or nothing.
