The simplest thing to develop a Google friendly site is to make it as much user friendly as u can (watch it putting yourself as a user)!

Rest is to follow the guidelines mentioned by G @ [google.com...]

a few quick points are that :
* Keep your navigation structure simple, with strong interlinking & clear navigations,
* Don't use too much of useless code (specially while designing a site using tables people do leave lots of junk code)
....
rest if you know a bit of SEO do some basic on-page work.

however there are several aspects, but these are few just simple one's to let u make a site that G will like..! :)

That's like asking a doctor "how do you perform brain surgery?"

Alright, maybe it's not that hard ;), but in all seriousness the answer is complex and is something people commit their entire professional careers to. It's not the kind of thing that can be answered on a message board.
