I have keywords that I rank well for. My marketing department wants to take several of them and add the correct macron (From Wikipedia: A macron, from Greek (makrón) meaning "long", is a diacritic ¯ placed over a vowel which was originally used to mark a long (i.e. heavy) syllable in Græco-Roman metrics, but has now been taken also to indicate that the vowel is long). Will this affect the ranking of these keywords or will Google see this as the same word with marks applied?
