My question is it seems when I check for backwards links using the Google Toolbar Google says I have 360 links but when I check on Yahoo using site explorer, the number is more along the lines of 10,600. Is there a reason for the huge gap in the number of recorded links or am I just not comparing apples to apples here?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm looking for information that needs to be passed on to my boss so it needs to be fairly accurate. Also if someone could suggest a tool to do this, I'd be glad to hear about it.
Thanks again and have a great day!
Mike

Yes Google deliberately broke the link: command some 3 years ago (at least). So I would say - yahoo is probably closer to the reality.
You could try to get a google sitemap they do show links to pages of your site (not sure if there's any limit to it though).
Has anyone else experienced this and if you have, what did you do to resolve it?
Thanks in advance,
Michael
