Hi
I am planning to convert some large Pdf files to html (or have both html and pdf)for SEO purposes.

What would be an appropriate html file word count on the visible text?

How many words do popular engines index, maximum?

Thanks
K

As a guide, I try to stay under 1000 words. I find that material is indexed well at the point. Google stresses that they want pages designed for humans, so design for easy to read pages that don't require lots of scrolling. [google.com...]

From a usability perspective, it should not be a problem to offer both, the full PDF and say 3 pages of the converted text.

Thanks
What about figures?
Should they be placed in a separate Html or not.
Based on usability, I would say that they should not.
