I'm building a new website that will exist in two languages, spanish and english. Instead of doing it like other of my webs, having english and spanish pages on the same web, I would create mirror sites.
- It will be two dif domains
- one for english and one for spanish
- each page will have a direct link to the "brother" site in the other language
Instead of taking you to the homepage of the other languate site, the "monkey" pages will take you to "chimpances" pages. Do you see any SE danger in this? I've read about penalties for websites hosted in the same place pointing one to another.
Obviously, both sites will share the same pictures and animations. Any content violation in this?
I guess it sounds naive, but Im seeing lots of complains about penalties nowadays. thanks
I was thinking about the exact same problem this morning, but with Italian and English which are currently on the same domain - pageoneIT going to pageoneEN and pagetwoIT to pagetwoEN - and I was thinking of splitting the 2 languages into 2 .it an .co.uk instead of all on the .it domain.
If anyone knows the best solution to this you'd be doing at least 2 people a huge favour.
Thanks,
Alex
