How To Forward URLs To Domain

How To Forward URLs Without Incurring Penalty

I want to find out that if I have Domain A and I want to forward Domain B, C and D to that domain name, how do I do so without incurring a duplicate content penalty or fooling Google into indexing the content at A with domains B, C and D.

The way I am doing it now has had this unwanted effect, so I am trying to fix the situation. At of now, I am forwarding, for example, Domain B to Domain A using a simple URL redirect from my domain registrar.

Is it better to use the domain redirect feature in Cpanel?

What other options exist?

Any help greatly appreciated....

How are you forwarding? The mechanics don't matter; what matters is what numbers the search engine sees.

If any and all requests for Domain A get a 301 redirect to Domain B, then Domain A should never be indexed at all. (Again: "should". ymmv.) But if, instead, the redirects are 302, then things are potentially ambiguous or worse.

If the DNS for more than one domain points to the same physical files, that's duplicate content. Search engines have no way of knowing it's the identical files. (They can easily know it's the same server, but they don't know anything more than that.)
