Im hoping this is the appropriate place to post this.

I have a website site that has a sidebar with sitewide links to another website. As of now these links are "dofollow". Should I make these sitewide links "nofollow"?

I have read the that this could be hindering my SEO efforts. Can someone please suggest what would be beter?

if it is in your template and that template is the same across the site - no worries - they are passing little juice.

Thanks Brett. It is within the template. So Ill keep it there. Another Question. One thing Ive always wondered is that how do the search engine knows that its links are within the template? Sidebar Footer and Top Navigation? do they catch up on the repetitiveness? Just wondering if you know the answer.

The short answer is page segmentation. The long answer is to read Bill Slawski. He's about the only guy I know who can tear apart a patent and make it {almost} understandable:
