When designing a small site from scratch, what is the best way to name the sites structure for SEO purposes. My site is a small niche. One overall topic and only a handful of variations in my target keywords. I could add a few related ones later, but these two are most important. Note: My site isn't really board games, it's just the best example I could come up with.
Top Keyword = board game
www.myboardgame.com/
keyword2 = board card game
www.myboardgame.com/board-card-game/
or (which is better for SEO?)
www.myboardgame.com/board-card-game.html
KW "game" - WAY too big, broad, and competitive for me
KW "board" - again WAY too big
KW "card game" - closer, but also a little too broad
KW "board cards" - possible, but would likely be difficult
So, all I have left are the following realistic keyword variants and their plural counterparts....
board game
board card game
So, basically I think these are my two questions:
1. Is using a kw rich directory better than using a kw rich page in the root directory?
2. Is it too much to have the kw in the domain, in the link structure, in the anchor text, individual page names, and the normal places? If so, please rank importance in SEO.
I'm thinking too much here, running on low fuel, and I'm on information overload. I'm not even sure I named this post correctly. LOL
