About a month ago I finally considered my site was good enough to start working on my pr. I've never used a seo semi-automated program before so I thought I'd give that a try. After submitting my site to about 2500 directories in 2 days, making a fb page, a twitter page and a blogger page, in the next 2-3 weeks I got about 6000+ sites linking back, but I still had a pr of 0.

Now after a month I'm at 8,812 links and my pr is still 0, I read somewhere on another topic on this site that getting to many links in a short time might give me penalties, if so, will they be lifted or will these links ever count in the future? should I just change the domain and start all over again?

I'm still listed on google, so I haven't been banned.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
