Hi Guys,

In a recent newsletter I get from a large competitor, they state...

"If you run a website sign up free to become an affiliate and get on the road to making some easy money.

Our Affiliate Program will pay you up to Ł50 for every visitor who links from your website to US! "

Surely that's not playing fair and contrary to internet ethics? Should I report them and to whom?

Why is it not playing fair? I am not sure I quite understand what they are saying. How can a visitor link from your website?

If they mean a vistor comes from your website via your affiliate link and you can earn upto Ł50, that is pretty standard affiliate practice.

Yeah it sounds to me like they mean to say, "You can make up to $50 if a visitor clicks a link on your web site and visits our web site and buys a product" - like said a standard affiliate thing.

Thanks guys. I have visited the detail of the offer and you are right - it's a standard affiliate thing. False alarm - sorry!
