Copyright/trademark issues with buying a branded domain

What are potential issues with

Not that I'm expecting sound legal advice, but anyone know if there are major copyright/trademark issues with buying a domain name with another company's brand name in it + then using the site to blog about that other company's brand?

Example: buying "MicrosoftRumors.com" and then blogging about Microsoft rumors.

Is this a no-no? Or is it OK to do as long as you clearly indicate that the site isn't affiliated with the brand?

A good example of site already doing this is Google Operating System ("Unofficial Google Blog"): [googlesystem.blogspot.com...]

just saw this ...you should 've posted it in Domains ..it would have been a more relevant forum ..but also given that we dont do legal advice ..there( and copyright and trademark legislation varies so much from place to place ) ..that the best answer you'd have got would have been "worms ...can of...don't "..and "there is enough trouble out there why pay for it"
