Really Baffled About Site Traffic.

I am really puzzled about the lack of visitors I am getting to my site. I use hitslink and according to their analytics, my site is averaging just 65 unique visitors per day.

Here's the confusing part - I am ranked #1 - #3 on Google's organic SERs for my most relevant keywords. I have HUGE visibility for terms that according to Google, collectively average 200,000+ searches monthly. Why am I only getting 65 people to my site a day? If close to 7,000 people per day are searching for "green widgets" and my site is listed at #2 for "green widgets", shouldn't I receive more than just 65 visitors?

If anyone can shed some light or insight on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Maybe the searchers don't like your Title and move on the next; maybe it's the description Google assigns. Is Google's description your Meta Desciption or a bizzare glued snippets? or, heaven knows why, are you getting an old DMOZ description? Gotta' be something in the presentation if you are ranking #1. I would think you should be getting 10,000 qualified visitors per month for sure.

Could be multiple reasons.

#1. The site above you is amazing so people wouldn't consider the choices below it.
#2. Your meta description is poor.
#3. The search results might be different for people outside your local area.

Thanks for the replies. I often wondered if the search results are different according to geographic location. I wonder what the simplest way to find this out would be...

In addition to the comments listed, I would offer...
- Are you sure the analytics data is accurate? Maybe put Google analytics on your site for free?
- Check your rank using a tool like Rank Checker (free) rather than checking it yourself. It's amazing how much Google changes the SERP based on what you've historically clicked on. I have an example of something that rank checker says is rank 21 but it always shows up 1 or 2 for me because Google thinks I like that link and want to keep seeing it.
