When will Google update 301 redirect?

I was making an extra products page on my site and the address was like example.com/widgets.php

Been working on it for a week and totally forgot to block Googlebot, lol ! :)
Just after I completed it I realized Google crawled it and indexed it. Also giving it a really high rank for chosen keywords.

As soon as I spot it I've re-written the url in htaccess to
example.com/products/new-widgets/
and added a 301 redirect in my php.

Checked that all headers are correct, and all is fine.
Now I'm interested how long will it take for Google to swap the address from example.com/widgets.php to example.com/products/new-widgets/ ?

It's been 2 days now with nothing changed. Did I mess it up real good ? :(

In most cases, Google will update a 301 as soon as they crawl it.
What's your crawl frequency?

It seems Google crawls my site daily, at least that is what I see from my Cpanel.
Is there a way to see when Google crawled my specific site?
Google Webmaster Tools are also not very informative.
Should I add some php code to see when Google pays a visit to my certain page? :)

As of today it lists this for my keyword:
1.place example.com/products/new-widgets/
-supplemental result: example.com/widgets.php
2. place etc...

Which means it currently lists both versions. Also I slightly changed title tag for my new version, could this be a problem?
Had to do it, cause one important keyword is missing :)

You should find some useful information on the subject in the Google Hot Topics - FAQs [webmasterworld.com] thread. Note, please post Google-specific questions in our dedicated Google Search News [webmasterworld.com] forum. Thanks.
