Keyword Domian

If I have keyword domain would it bring up on the search

Greetings
Sorry if I am asking a brainless question
I have some keyword domains that have ok search on google. My question is this. If I build a simple site with basic seo skills, would I get to top 10 position in that keyword that I have on the domain name.

i do not know if you get to top 10. but what i know is key words in domain name has grade value for seo.

A keyword domain can help a bit but it's by no means a free ticket to the top. Sites built on keyword domains have to earn their authority like any other site.

A great deal would depend on how competitive the search term is. I have a keyword-phrase-domain in a strongly competitive sector that took two years to get to the top. I have another domain that ranks #1 with just a cheesy holding page.

Alas, the search it ranks for is not one I can monetize easily. The reason it's easy to rank well is that no one else wants the phrase. :(
