H1 tags implemented on forum posts - good idea?

I run a forum that I've optimised pretty well but there is no H123 tag outline, so I've adjusted the skin to put the topic title inside H1 tags. It's also the same as the page title (I know the argument that's a bad idea but I don't buy it).

I'm now wondering if it was such a good idea. Do you have anythoughts i.e. thousands of forum posts suddenly getting H1 headers at the same time.

... there is another issue though... They're noit showing up in the W3C validator's outline checker... but the h1 tage are definately in the page content.... I just can't think why the validator isn't seeing them. (yes, the validator is seeing the correct skin).

I've carefully examined all my code and the tags are in place for sure... so I've filed a bug report at W3C and I'll wait to see what happens.
