Hi there,

I have a client that would like to do geo targeting on the .com site -forwarding users to country specific versions of the site such as .co.uk, .fr and so on if there is one (if there isn't one the user will just stay on the .com site). My question is how would search engines treat the two domains in the SERPs? Would search engines list both domains or would they take either the .com or the country specific domain out of the results?

Appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks

M

if the content on .com and .co.uk is same it will index only one domain. on the other hand, since .fr will host language other than English, therefore it will be indexed, as the same content on two different language specific domain is treated as unique content
