If you're having problems with the Site Explorer verification process, I would post on their help groups (linked from within Site Explorer). I've found them pretty helpful. It's not really something we'd be able to fix, unfortunately.
if you prefer, you can also verify your site by uploading a single verification file to the root directory rather than adding the meta tag to every page.
