Hello all. I'm fairly new to this site, and I'm looking forward to being a part of this great community.

We launched a brand new <snip> site this week which offers a spin to the standard sites people are used too <in this category>. It focuses on quality, not quantity.

So, my question is simple: what is the best marketing approach? I have read of the standard directory submissions, commenting on blogs to help get link backs, and of course telling everyone I know. But this site is different than the rest. Any recommendations?

Thanks

Get yourself involved as the face of the new site and promote it across influential mediums. Join a relevant discussion every time you see one and make it known that you represent the new site, new idea, new whatever.

If you have a paid media budget there are a lot of ways of promoting the site. PPC, sponsorships, display media, TLAs, forum posts, articles.

Your best bet is to simply get involved. The new internet is more about participating than looking for short term solutions.
