On my website i have like all of us ;) some links to the same pages (menu categories)

So here is thte question.
<a href="/folder/index.php">folder</a>

or

<a href="/folder/">folder</a>

Is that important for seo?
If yes please tell me why?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, medicultau.

The important thing is to set your standard and then remain consistent. Typically, the index page text after the ending directory slash is not necessary and a common practice is to leave it off. However, both URLs will indeed lead to the same page. Is this a problem? Well, you are competing against yourself for the same content when it comes to indexing weight with search engines. They will notice that the two "different" URLs lead to the same page content and they don't want to see that. Search these forums for "duplicate content" and you can read more about this issue in some of the discussion you will find.
