Hey, thanks for the response guys. Most definately need to research each link and forget about PR. Your comments are much appreciated.

When I check my target keywords the results show 150,000 return. Starting with a new site, around 6 months of content built. What kind of time frame are you looking at to move into a top 10 position? Assuming you are going after quality links, clean navigation and lots of original content. ruff idea anyway! Just started a blog writing each day as part of the site.

How long is a piece of string, it depends on industry, keywords, quality of content, relevancy of site, quality of links, quality of all of these factors on your competitors sites, the list goes on. You could get top 10 for "small blue sturdy type A widgets" in 3 months, or take 5+ years to get top 10 for "type B widgets"

Short answer: It depends
