I have several domainnames, e.g.: example1.com , example2.com , example3.com , example4.com , example5.com and others.
Also I have a website like exampleinformation.com.
Everything is hosted at one server. In first istance I wanted to create one Wordpress installation on exampleinformation.com and then point example1.com to www.exampleinformation.com/example1.
But this doesn't work. I can do a redirect, but as far as I know the site wont be indexed as example1.com but as exampleinformation.com/example1. SEO-wise this is worse.
Now I made addon domains in cpanel and made stand alone websites, that means several wordpress installations. Now the website gets indexed as example1.com and SEO-wise the domain name is good. But with a lot of domain names, its a lot of work to install and maintain all installations...
Is there a possibility to do a 301 redirect but with keeping the original domain name (example1.com) instead of showing exampleinformation.com/example1.
I want to keep my nice domain names to get a better rank. (Off course only white hat)
Or is there some other way?
I hope you understand a bit what I mean... Thanks in advance.

The address http://www.exampleinformation.com/example1 (a wordpress page) I wanted to have as homepage for that domain doesn't work.
I can set example1 (so the adress fits) as home directory, but the address I want to point it to is a page, not a directory. So changing the homedirectory has no use in this way.

http://www.exampleinformation.com/example1.html
If you're using Apache I belive it does some URL translation thing you may be able to use. Not sure of the details though, I'm an IIS man.
