can someone clear things up for me as far as article directories and their rules are (especially ezine articles) for linking straight to a affiliate site?

i get the rule ezine articles now has regarding no subdirectories in the domain in that you cant have domain.com/anything, and that it must now just be domain.com and thats it.

where i am real confused is, what if you are using cloaking and the subdirectories wont ever be seen or perhaps you own the affiliate site so subdirectories on your domain are non existant when your promoting it and thus following the domain rules. so at this point does ezine articles or other article directories care if its an affiliate site or not?

i hear some people say that the site cant be an affiliate site and you must have a site with about 2 to 5 pages of content. then i hear others say that it dont matter as long as you are following the no subdirectories in your domain rule they dont care if the site is a affiliate site. so whos right?

From my experience, it is fine to link to a site with affiliate offers on it but fine to not post your affiliate link.

As far as linking to exaple.com/anything: You are allowed two links in your sig. What I like to do is in the bio box something like this:

Find out all you need to know about examples here: example.com
and if you would like to learn about anything, we have a great resource here example.com/anything
