Whats your views..

I recently found a web hosting review site which the owner wants to sell this website.

He claims that the site has been online for a couple of months and has already accomplished many goals that other sites take years to achieve. The first month brought in roughly $2000 in income; in July we have brought in $4100.

The website alexa rank is 491,302 but its google pagerank is only 1.

I would like to know where from he brings those targeted visitors and generate commission as his website pagerank is only 1 none of his keyword brining him on top in the search engines.

Please... share your expertise what sources he has used for earning $4100 a month and bring targeted traffic to his site.

Thank you..

Hello hawaye, Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

The website alexa rank is 491,302 but its google pagerank is only 1.

Weak metrics to utilize when determining the value of a "new site" in the context you are discussing. Both of those metrics take time and neither may affect revenue for the site in question. In fact, you can do without both of those and still generate revenue. :)

Alexa rank doesn't mean much at all; I wouldn't look into that.

I'd like to know how he / you managed to get a visible page rank of anything in two months, when everyone else in the whole world has to wait at least three months.

Having said that, I see no connection between page rank and income (or profit, come to that), and no connection between Alexa and anything at all.

If he's selling $2000 widgets, maybe he sold one in the first month, then put the price up to $2050 in the second month, and sold two.

Not bad going, but not so remarkable if he undercut the giants, took only 1% profit, and spent $6100 on Adwords to achieve those three sales.

Is he selling the site for $10 or $20?

I only recently added an online store to my site, and it's earning about $30,000 a month. Of course, only a small fraction of that is my profit.
