I got a new site and was wondering how to overcome the problem of site age and ranking syndrome ?

any suggestions ?

I dont think there is anyway to get around this but depending on the competitiveness of the keywords you are targeting a new site can rank well from the start for certain keyword phrases.

Other than that focus on gathering quality & relevant backlinks, content and most of all patience.
If your site has content that users really like then traffic will pick up and natural links to your site as well.

for example I made a site (directory) and targeted general greek phrases. this site is a little over a month old and in June I had over 1500 unique visitors. a week ago it dropped to around 15-30 uniques a day. hopefully in about 6-12 months I expect traffic to rise.

buy an existing site that's in the SEs but abandoned and 301 it. Be careful how you go about it though.

Does anyone know where you can buy aged domains ?
