Hello everyone.

This is a topic I have seen debated for a while and would like to see further opinions/knowledge on.

Do you believe there are duplicate content issues when displaying full posts on the main index page of a Wordpress blog?

Obviously arising from the fact these posts are also found on their own pages/urls..

Thank you,
Kevin

Theoretically, there should be no duplicate content issues in a situation like this. The problem with duplicate content on the same site (like article snippets) is you can only rank for one version. Google wants to display the most accurate representation of the content, not punish the least accurate.

I think the bigger issue is page weight. If you're displaying the full version of several posts on one page, that page's size is going to be huge. That may have a bigger impact on ranking than any inter-site content sharing you have.
