Duplicate Content?

Same site...different country

One of my clients has an office in the Netherlands. They currently have a site, but purely informational. It has a .NL extension.

They have a large site for here in the US that they want to duplicate over to the .NL site. The .NL site would be an almost duplicate of the US site, but just targeting the Netherlands...though it will be hosted here in the US.

Could this be a problem with duplicate content still?

Thanks!

Easy rule of thumb: if it's the same content, it's duplicate content.

I know I had read somethings about because it is targeting a different country and has a different country extension, that it may not be as much as a problem...
