Hi everyone,

Id love some input on our situation - we launched our site a few weeks ago, and have been using wordtracker to pinpoint relevant keywords and incorporate them into our copy and titles etc.

We have only just launched our homepage, and have been altering the seo on our product pages recently (aprox 2 weeks ago) so maybe it is early days, but we are not appearing at all for any of the longtail keywords we have picked. For example, our "Increase Confidence" album we retitled to "Confidence Booster Supplement" as wordtracker said it had 33 searches per day, only 1 competing website, and a kie of over 400!

We come number 1 for this term when used in speech-marks, however when searched normally, without the ""s we don't appear at all - at least not on the first 100 results.

I am hoping that this is simply due to the page only being added a couple of weeks ago, and the whole website only being in existence for a few weeks before that, but if anyone can properly explain why this is, or if there is anything we can do to improve this position I would be really grateful!

Kind Regards,
Dan

you can't hope to get results these days just on page copy alone. you need links -- inbound links -- and lots of them. and that's just the beginning.
if you only started a couple of weeks ago then i'm guessing you haven't got any links at all. you'll be lucky to even be listed.

well weve got aprox 22 inbound links (according to yahoo site explorer) - these are links that come from other pages and only to our main homepage url.

Aprox half of these are links from a few directories, and the other half are just simple links we posted on a few blogs, and a couple of self help type forums in our signature, so not exactly highly sought after links no :)
