There are some out there, however not any really good free ones. I sually use our own in-house stuff, but I also always take a peek at Google's keyword tool:
[adwords.google.com...]

It does not show you actual numbers, but it's a very good source methinks! :)

I looked at the google adwords tool as well. It's pretty neat, but it would be great with real numbers, to estimate the potential flow of visitors.
Do you know if you can multiply the number from google by something, to get an estimate (they usually translate the bar value to something like '0.52' when you import it as a csv file)?

I'm not aware of a number you can multiply the numbers from Google with. It depends on the market or area. The .052 can represent a very high number or a very low one. However you can use the numbers to compare the different keywords with each other.

It was really nice of you to find the link. I've tried it, but some of the results where it says that there are none, I get plenty of visitors from today.

I think your first idea with adwords, is probably the best solution at the moment.
