One way is to write a news related article and publish it through a high end PR company such as PRweb.com. They state that if your press release gets high PR score they will submit it to news agencies such as Yahoo news, Google News and more. Go to PRWeb and read about their submissions.

Another way would be to contact writers and journalists from top tier and second tier news sites. They always have their writers information at the bottom of their article. Contact them and ask them how they could go about submitting your articles to their news site. You may even find a affiliate buddy which will take credit for your articles but at least your articles will be published and will promote your intended product, service, or what ever it is your trying to promote.

I am stuck staring at 20 tabs of my firefox each showing a free/cheap pr submission services to all news of the world and more.
I have the budget, but is there any need to submit to more than 1-5 of them? What are your opinions about that?
Maybe anyone could suggest some sets of PR services?

Well you do not want o over do your submissions. Make sure these companies are credible and have at least been reviewed by someone who has used their services. My suggestion is PRweb. They do a good job and i have had no problems with them. After submitting my PR the article was indexed by google the day after (probably indexed sooner then that but i checked it the day after.) PRweb also offers tracking for their higher end PR submissions.

The only thing i can suggest to you is research. Make sure you know what your getting yourself into and study the companies you are dealing with.

Another tip:
Create your own blog. I KNOW I KNOW this sounds time consuming and may even sound fruitless to you however you would be surprised at the amount of traffic you can generate from a 2nd and 3rd tier blogs. Blogs hold a lot of power and if used in the right way can greatly benefit your cause. Blog submissions get indexed and ranked fairly quick. (iv had a submission be indexed and ranked within the first 110 position of Google within 10 minutes). And this is just a up and coming blog with little to no traffic.

I advise you to create a blog and inform your target audience of your products, services, and reviews. IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME. It may not be thousands of visitors a day however you will sooner or later create a dedicated user base of targeted visitors.
