Hey Guys,

Not quite sure where to put this question, so admins, if its better placed else where please feel free!

Im debating wether it is better to put the articles under a subdomain like articles.site.com or would it be better to have them under the main domain site.com/articles?

If i place it on the subdomain do i have to SEO for the subdomain as well? I already have it under a subdomain and have been SEO'ing the main domain but i am not seeing the articles show up much in big G......

What are your guys experiences/best practices in situations such as this?

Kind of perplexed as ive got tons of articles but almost no traffic from them... Was it a bad choice to have them in the subdomain, should i move them to the main domain? Is there anything adverse that could happen if i move them?

Thanks,

For the future, I'd always put articles on the main domain; that way their content helps in SEO, and there's neither confusion nor complications in navigation.

Having a subdomain simply divides your links over two domains, and doubles your marketing effort.

For existing articles, it depends a little on exactly what your setup is. But I'd 'bring them home' - the question is whether to do it immediately, or gradually.
