Hello Webmasters and SEOs

I'm continously suffering through a same problem like my meta page description is not showing what I have excatlly in meta tags. SEs picked some of the page and then displaying it in the snippet, which could have been bad impact overall for a page. Is someone help me how to fix that problem.

For past some years I have resloved the problem by using DC.title tag but now that technique is no more working.

Thanks

Hi bilalseo, welcome to WebmasterWorld!

One possibility is that your META Descrpition tag is not properly formed.

Another is that the SE's often take pieces from your page (or elsewhere) and blend them into the snippet they display, depending upon the keywords in the search query. So....maybe your META Description is not that relavant to many of the searches you're ranking for?

Grab some unique text from your page and search on it. Experiment a bit. It can be very enlightening.
