How can I tell if a certain webpage is indexed by Google/Yahoo/...or possibly what pages from a site are indexed?

go to either and type in site:yourwebsite.com

If you do some Google searches you can find some sites that provide index checking on all Google/Yahoo/MSN servers.

An easier way is to create a sitemap.xml file. Once you have submitted your sitemap file you can see if Yahoo and Google have indexed your site, the top keywords that your site appears for in Google, and how many people are linking to each page on your site, among other interesting info.
Just search google for 'Google Sitemaps' there are plenty of tools that can create them automatically for you.
