Does the Internet have a work week? Are there 8 hours in an Internet day with lunch from 12:00 to 1:00?

Why do local regional clients continue to treat their online business as if it were their traditional storefront?

How many lost sales are there due to someone submitting a contact request on Friday afternoon and not getting a response until Monday?

Why should people assume that a businesses is ready to respond 24/7/365 just because the business has a website?

Ask those folks how cheerfully they'd respond to marketing calls at 3 am on Sunday morning.

It's a question of work/life balance. Yeah maybe I could help someone out from home on a Sunday night but do that for long enough and I'll want to end it all. There are two sides to a business transaction and in some industries there are perks like a few hours off every day.

The faster you respond to queries can be a "Point of Difference" and a great reason for them to switch to you for business. I agree there is a "balance", but if you plan your work into small blocks of time instead of an 8 hour chunk, you can achieve the "look" that you are open longer than you are.

As in "how many sales have you lost to competitors that reads and responds to their enquiries(he posted to your competition as well) on saturday and sunday?"

Just because the majority of the world rests on the weekend to relax, there are still workaholics out there.
