I want to link my site2 with site1. both are on same C class server(if that matters).

Can I use javascript or CSS to hide my link from SE's.
I am linking the site2 just to get visitors from site1 and not for PR or to gain a link.

Here's a thread in which I asked the same question. I'm still not sure I have a completely satisfactory answer. A lot depends on how else the sites are promoted, what topics they're on, etc.

I do agree with caveman's suggestion to avoid the nofollow attribute in this situation.

How about doing it at database level.
I mean create a anchor text on site1 and store the link to site2 in database.
when user hovers the mouse on the anchor text All they see is this
[site1.com...]

How would google know in that case.
