Hey guys:)

I have read that you should mention your kw phrase in the range of 3 to 11 times on a page. And i have seen some sites mention their kw as high as 23 times on a page and are ranking on the 1st page results. And on that same 1st page results page their is another competitor using the same kw *Only* 4 times on their page and ranking well.

So,....

Q.1. Would it be safe to use a kw phrase 23 times on a page? Seems too high. The range suggested was 3 to 11 times on a page.

I have the kw phrase on a site at around 12 times, but i'm thinking i need to add the kw phrase a few more times and at least match the densities.

The site i'm working has alot of content on the main page. Around 1000 or more words. So i think i do need more of the same kw phrase than average for the density levels to be higher.

Any suggestions?

->Q.2. Also would a kw phrase density level of 6 or 7% be too high for a given page?

(I ask because i thought i read some where to keep it under 4%.)

Well, thanks for your help guys:)
I appreciate your advice.

"as often as makes sense" is the rule I go with any more. If I look at density (which I don't do often) I will say that the pages that rank well on Google have a pretty high density (4%-7%) and often have a lot of text.

But ultimately you are making the page for your visitor. If the content looks and sounds rediculous you can get all the traffic in the world but you aren't going to sell anything.
