first time here so forgive me if i've ignored protocol or something like that. im trying to figure out a good filename for a sub-cat titled '1.5" composite floor decking'. we're all a bit stumped as to a good name that's easy to identify on the admin/creation side while still getting noticed by spiders and such. any help appreciated.

Hello Shayes, Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Sub-cat titled '1.5" composite floor decking'.

What's before that? Based on what comes before, that would determine what I'd name it.

For example...

example.com/floors/composite/decking/
example.com/floors/decking/

I'd be looking at the overall breadcrumb trail to see if I can mimic that in the URI string. I'd want to trim out the fat and try to keep single words in the string. If not, I will use hyphens to separate the words.

example.com/industrial/composite-floor-decking/
