Is this considered Doorway/Cloaking.Please advice?

Hi There,

I have 2 sites. They are pretty much the same and I am thinking of taking one of them out (afraid of duplicate content).

But instead of Site B's domain going to waste (It has PR 4), I want to remove the whole site and just leave the default page. I was thinking of making the default page have content that points and have links to Site A (My Main Site).

Is this illegal in any way? There will be many links linking there so I am not sure if it is cloaking or a doorway page in anyway?

I'm not certain that qualifies either as cloaking or as a doorway. Actually, I'm pretty sure it is not cloaking, doorway would be a tossup depending on the implementation. But why bother? Simply use 301 redirect from the domain you're going to drop to the other. Problem solved.

I would be more inclined to develop new content for one of those sites, keeping them both active. I have multiple sites with some of the same products across all of them. Each of those sites is unique and can stand on its own. I call it "spreading the wealth".
