Hi guys.Posted this in a few places, just looking to get as much advice as possible.

I got an email from one of my clients today, and to be honest, I'm rather stumped. I never thought I would receive an email like this.

My client, who I did some SEO work contacted me and told me that their website is bring in TOO MUCH business. I have recently got them them to the number 1 spot for most terms in their industry.

Their business is offline and requires a booking, however it is not a hotel or accommodation, it's more like an activity.

They say that they are receiving too many requests and they want to be brought DOWN to the second page results on search engines.

I suggest implementing some sort of booking engine but they don't want this. Most bookings are taken via email or the phone and they are so busy, they don't want the extra admin work.

I really wanted to say "Why don't you hire some more staff and grow your business!" . I have never had to drop a client DOWN SERPs. And I don't want to have to now. Can you make any suggestions as how to approach this?

If the worst comes to the worst, does anyone have any ideas on how to drop a site to the second page of results? (The client wants what the client wants).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Weaken your page titles. Go slowly. Subtle changes. Start with a few of the biggest traffic pages. See how it goes and what results you get. Tweak your thinking if necessary based on the results, and slowly roll out your changes in small clusters of pages at a time, until desired effects are achieved.

You can always go back later and reinstate the more effective titles.
