An interesting issue I have just thought about concerning one of our new clients.

For some industries, there are specialist domain extensions that you can get, for example .aero for aviation. I am sure there are many others, such as the .#*$! (censored) that was proposed for adult related sites.

My focus is on the first example, would it improve your serps and make it easier to optimise for industry related keywords if you had an industry domain - such as .aero for an aviation related website? Would it give a bonus over the same address as a .com or .co.uk?

I am interested to hear any experiences of this / thoughts on this.
