I've had a site working live since March this year. Around July I got my first PR and since then I've not had a lot of organic traffic.
Having spend a lot of time looking around this site and others, I realised I needed to increase my inbound links. I dutifully went to sites that have soemthing to do with my site's topic or related topics, and submitted my site. I also registered it on a number of directories. I didn't find many directory sites, covering this particular topic. :(
I've seen a few websites which scan your home page for keyword relevance and mine comes out at only 60%, despite each one of those being completely to do with my site. I don't understand why this could be and not sure what my next steps could be.?
Apart from trying to add my site to more directories, I'm unsure how I can promote it any further?
Any comments on what I can do would be greatly received.
Thanks, Gary
