Will Two Deep Links Lift a PR 4 to a PR 5?

Hi, I have a friend in a simular business as mine but a different market segment and products.

His site is a pr6 on main to pr5 on subpages. He's going to give me 2 links of his homepage pointing to 2 different directories on my site.

Any idea if 2 links going to my site will help both directories which are pr3?

My sites homepage is pr4.....would those links increase my site to a pr5.

It may help but I wouldn't get too hung up on PR, a lot of other things matter like the anchor text, topic etc. But yeah all things being equal, that should be fine and may help.

Just for purposes of discussion... in this situation, might northweb's site be better off with only one link from his friend's homepage?
