Hi everyone, I have had a question for a couple months that was spawned off a research project for college. I was in a web development, and my professor wanted the class to develop a site on a general topic and then research potential links for link requests. That said I went with a niche industry and developing a site which would be selling niche products. In my research I found sites that seemed like they were spam sites, and in some cases would take existing domain names and link to the actual site using that name. For example, one packaging company was named example.com, and they took the name examples.com. I was just wondering when other sites back link to main sites, and have PR's of 0, does that hurt the actual sites PR, or search rank or anything. I know the question moved away from my school assignment, but I thought I would ask. Thanks
