What's the best RSS/Atom feed editor?

The RSS Forum Charter [webmasterworld.com] discourages discussion of RSS software tools as we used to have some problems with spam/promotion of this type of software. I would like to make an exception in this thread as the heyday of RSS editor software is well past us.

Do you have any experience with any good stand-alone RSS feed editors?

There are editing programs that let you put your data into them and they spew out properly formatted RSS or Atom feeds in XML format. Some of them allow for fancy HTML formatting within your posts. Some also let you connect directly to your FTP server to edit your feed live.

I've played around with Stylus Studio. It was total overkill for what I wanted... [stylusstudio.com...] -- there's a free 15 day demo, and a single user home version costs $99.

I ended writing a perl script for what I needed done.

Stylus Studio is definitely overkill for this purpose. I was thinking more along the lines of a simpler application that had less functionality than that.

I still use an old abandoned tool called FeedEdit by a guy named Dan Banham that wasn't developed after 2004. I was looking to see if there might be something a bit more modern out there.

I need one of these too. Word Press and Drupal have decent functionality with RSS, but it seems overkill to install just to make RSS pages.

Basically, I need a simple RSS for websites program to upload clips stories from different feeds...and incorporate them all on 1 page.
