Clicking on an RSS feed link from a browser would have different results depending on the setup. RSS feeds aren't really supposed to be viewed in browsers.

ok you mean i shouldn't have linked to my site? and should have coded the url, to avoid any spam attempts, or am i getting it wrong?
So how could i may ask anyone for help without giving the site link?
Anyways i aint talking about my site's feeds.I have placed other site's feed on my site under news.I am talking about that.Arent they supposed to work via browser.Offcourse they are ,else their isnt any use of them.

describe the problem in general terms such that:
- it can apply to any site, regardless of topic or content
- the discussion is educational for future readers of your thread after your specific problem is fixed

exemplify domains, widgetize keywords...

I've sent you a sticky mail that further explains our linking policy. Essentially a link to a site for review or example quickly loses its value to everyone but the OP. We're not here to do one-on-one consulting, but rather build a community resource.

Feel free to post examples of your code. Replace your URL with example.com and try to keep the code snippet limited to the issue at hand.

How's your feed generated?

Hi Ginx,
Sounds like there may be an error in your XML file. Like CSS and HTML, one tiny mistake can render all of the code useless. Check this carefully.

There is an article about generating a RSS feed at Search Engine Watch [searchenginewatch.com] that I found most helpful. It lays out each step and gives very clear examples. (Even with these instructions, I made a rather obvious mistake in my XML file which kept the RSS page from displaying all of the information that I keyed into it. But by going back over the file carefully, I was able to spot my mistake and correct it.)

One step they do overlook, however, is one that Bill, the administrator here, mentions in another thread. Go to the thread Adding RSS to existing sites [webmasterworld.com] in this category and read what he has to say about putting a link in the header of your page. (His is the ninth comment in that thread.) This link adds the RSS flag to the URL field when someone calls up your page (in addition to doing what else towards the implementation of the feed, Bill?).
